Before the Big Bang: How My Hypotheses Anticipated the New de Sitter Cosmology
Introduction: A Shift in Cosmic Thinking
On July 29, 2025, an noteworthy article (Not Big Bang — new theory uses ‘Gravity’ and ‘Quantum Physics’ to explain the universe’s birth) was published exploring a radical shift in cosmology: the universe may not have begun with a singular Big Bang, but instead emerged from a stable quantum vacuum, known as a de Sitter space. This new theory, developed by physicists from the University of Barcelona and the University of Padua, proposes that the cosmos evolved not from an explosive beginning, but from a timeless energetic backdrop where gravity and quantum fluctuations seeded the universe.
Over the past 4–5 months, my intellectual explorations have led me into uncharted conceptual territory—where the boundaries between quantum physics, cosmology, and metaphysical speculation blur into a unified vision. Without formal academic training, but driven by sheer curiosity and intuitive synthesis, I began to question the very nature of time, entropy, and the fundamental structure of our universe.
What emerged were a series of hypotheses—ideas born from independent reasoning and imagination—that sought to understand the cosmos not from its visible periphery, but from a deeper, timeless energetic foundation. I speculated that what we perceive as time is an emergent illusion born from entropy, and that before space-time itself, there may exist a realm of pure energy—a stable, entropy-free background beyond the reach of conventional physics.
Strikingly, this new article aligns with my self-developed cosmological framework. This blog post offers a reflective comparison between these two frameworks, showing how a self-learned explorer of science and philosophy stumbled upon insights that are now echoing through the halls of cutting-edge theoretical physics.
1. No Big Bang, No Singularity
New Theory:
The recent model rejects the traditional singularity at the beginning of time. Instead, the universe arises from a quantum vacuum — a de Sitter space that existed before spacetime as we know it.
My Hypothesis:
In 'Entropy and the Timeless Framework', I argued that before entropy and spacetime, there existed a higher-dimensional energetic realm that was timeless, motionless, and stable. In this state, there was no arrow of time, only pure energetic potential waiting to collapse into form.
2. Time as an Emergent Property
New Theory:
This cosmology avoids the "past hypothesis," which assumes an initial low-entropy state. Instead, it views entropy and the arrow of time as emergent from quantum fluctuations within the de Sitter space.
My Hypothesis:
I proposed that time is not a fundamental dimension but a perceptual byproduct of entropy. Without entropy, there is no passage of time. This emergent time arises only after wave function collapse begins to structure reality from the timeless realm.
3. Quantum Fluctuations as the Source of Structure
New Theory:
Structures in the universe, including galaxies and gravitational waves, formed from quantum fluctuations in the vacuum, not from a burst of energy or inflation.
My Hypothesis:
I proposed that consciousness or resonance with specific frequencies within the higher-dimensional field collapses probabilistic potentials into matter and structure. This process generates entropy, thereby initiating time and shaping the spacetime we experience.
4. Gravity as a Quantum Field Tremor
New Theory:
The model frames gravity not as the curvature of space but as a phenomenon emerging from quantum field behavior.
My Hypothesis:
In 'The Illusion of the Space-Time Fabric', I reimagined gravity as not the bending of a cosmic sheet but as tremors in the energy fields. Gravitational waves are seen as cymatic ripples in an underlying ether, not as deformations of spacetime.
Conclusion: The Echoes of Independent Thought
When I began these speculative journeys into cosmology, I did so out of pure intellectual curiosity and metaphysical wonder. Now, I find that my hypotheses, born without formal training in theoretical physics, resonate deeply with the most current advancements in the field.
This blog is not to claim scientific authority, but to celebrate the convergence of thought. It is proof that curiosity, introspection, and deep contemplation can sometimes lead to truths that lie just ahead of the mainstream.
Perhaps the universe itself rewards seekers not just with answers, but with the uncanny joy of knowing that we are not alone in our thoughts.
The pursuit continues.
